The Neverest Foundation
In September 2019 I travelled out to Nepal with Neverest foundation.
This is a charity established after the earthquake of 2015 to support training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, to improve the lives of children rehabilitating from trauma, to sponsor girls orphaned by the earthquake and to equip an English school.
The foundation was founded by professor Rohan Rajan and Mr James Metcalf.
My contribution to this visit underscores the important collaboration between orthopaedic surgeons and plastic and reconstructive surgeons.
It allowed me an opportunity to teach reconstructive principles to the Nepalese surgical teams and to advise on the management of certain conditions such as congenital hand abnormalities.
